The Panama Canal welcomed a courtesy visit from a delegation of the United Kingdom Embassy in Panama, led by His Excellency Greg Houston, the British Ambassador to Panama. The meeting took place at the Board Room of the Panama Canal Administration Building, reinforcing diplomatic dialogue around issues of shared interest.
Ambassador Houston was accompanied by Ariel Pérez Price, Regional Coordinator for Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba, as well as Nicholas Rae, First Secretary. The delegation was received by Panama Canal Administrator Ricaurte Vásquez Morales and Deputy Administrator Ilya Espino de Marotta.
According to the Panama Canal Authority, the visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of common interest and to strengthen cooperation ties between the United Kingdom and the Panama Canal. The meeting also reaffirmed both parties’ commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and global connectivity.
The Panama Canal expressed its appreciation for the diplomatic visit and reiterated its willingness to continue strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding in support of global trade and sustainable development.
